SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
REGIONAL HEALTH AUTHORITY A – ZONE 5
(1 Full-Time Position)
Summary of duties
The speech-language pathologist will provide speech-language therapy services to patients at the Restigouche Hospital Centre, a tertiary psychiatric facility, and inpatients at the Campbellton Regional Hospital in both acute care and rehabilitation. He or she will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and take part in developing and implementing new programs according to needs. He or she will supervise the department’s special educator.
Qualifications required:
- Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology;
- Member in good standing of the New Brunswick Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists or eligible for same;
- Written and spoken competence in English and French;
- Self-motivation, initiative, sound judgement and ability to work independently;
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it;
- Good previous work and attendance record;
- Physically able to perform the duties required by the position.
