WELCOME TO THE RESTIGOUCHE HEALTH AUTHORITY (RHA).
Our organization is dedicated to providing comprehensive and quality healthcare to the people of our region. Located on the northern-most tip of New Brunswick, the RHA serves a mixed urban/rural population of approximately 37,000 people, including approximately 7,000 residents from the Gaspé Peninsula of the Province of Québec. The RHA, referred to as Health Region 5, extends from a small village to the West called Whites Brook, near Kedgwick, to Belledune in the East, a distance of approximately 160 km.
Comprised of 2 hospitals, one Community Health Centre and one health centre, the RHA also operates the Extra-Mural Program, the Region Addiction Services Program, the Restigouche Health Authority – Emergency Medical Service, Community Mental Health and Public Health. We offer a range of healthcare services delivered by a dedicated staff of over 1,300 employees and 60 (active) physicians.
