VISITING RESTRICTIONS LIFTED AT THE CAMPBELLTON REGIONAL HOSPITAL VETERANS’ UNIT

Campbellton (N. B.) – The Restigouche Health Authority would like to advise the public that the ban on visitors, imposed on February 25, 2008, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital Veterans’ Unit, has been lifted.

No new flu cases have been reported on the Unit. Residents have been symptom-free for 48 hours - an infection control and prevention requirement prior to restoring visitation.

However, the Health Authority is still requesting the cooperation of the public to prevent the transmission of infections. All people experiencing cold, flu-like and gastrointestinal symptoms are asked to refrain from visiting residents on the unit. You should be free of all symptoms for 48 hours before you visit.
